This is the latest from the English Premier League in our transfer rumour mill.

FIVE MAN UTD PLAYERS GIVEN MORE TIME TO FIND MOVES

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia will not return to training on Monday with the remainder of the Manchester United squad as they are given more time to find moves elsewhere.

Sky Sports reported that the quintet have been told they are not part of manager Ruben Amorim’s plans going forward.

Even if they are unable to find a new home, they will still be afforded access to the facilities at United’s training base, Carrington, but will likely remain on the outer.

Rashford received the clearest message that he is not wanted as his No. 10 shirt was handed to new signing Matheus Cunha.

Rashford went on loan to Aston Villa in the back half of last season, but is yet to receive any official offers.

Although, it is believed the 27-year-old is keen on a move to Barcelona as he wants to play Champions League football next season.

Sancho, who went to Chelsea on loan, has been linked with Juventus.

United are believed to want £25 million (A$52m) for the 25-year-old Englishman after Chelsea paid a £5 million (A$10.4m) penalty to back out of their obligation to make his loan deal permanent.

Chelsea have reportedly showed interest in Garnacho, however, but United are yet to receive any offers for the 21-year-old Argentine.

Spanish side Real Betis are eager to re-sign Antony after a successful loan spell, and that is said to be the player’s preference.

Como and Bayer Leverkusen have also shown interest. and may be more willing to meet United’s reported asking price of up to £25 million (A$52m) for the 25-year-old Brazilian.

BURNLEY’S DEFENSIVE BOOST

Newly promoted Burnley have agreed to sign defender Kyle Walker from Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.

The deal is reportedly set to be worth £5 million (A$10.4m) and for two years after Walker completed a medical with Burnley.

The 35-year-old England international is in the final year of his City contract, but was not a part of Pep Guardiola’s squad at the Club World Cup after being sent to AC Milan on loan last season.

The former City captain made 16 appearances in Italy and knows Burnley manager Scott Parker from their time as Tottenham teammates from 2011 to 2013.

MAN UTD TO UP OFFER FOR BRENTFORD STAR

Manchester United are set to up their offer for Brentford forward Bryan Mbuemo, according to Sky Sports.

Brentford want at least £65 million (A$135.3m) for the 25-year-old - with most, if not all, of that sum guaranteed.

Mbeumo only wants to join United, but Brentford sporting director Phil Giles said the Cameroon international is willing to stay if an agreement cannot be reached.

United’s last offer was reportedly worth an initial £55 million (A$114.5m), reaching £62.5 million (A$130m) with add-ons.

Mbeumo may not be the only forward to land at Old Trafford as Juventus reportedly floated selling 25-year-old Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic in conversations about Jadon Sancho.

LIVERPOOL, ARSENAL HUNT PALACE SKIPPER

Sky Sports reported that Liverpool are once again in the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

Arsenal are also interested, but it was also reported that the FA Cup winning captain would be unwilling to move without a guaranteed starting position.

Palace also would be difficult to agree to a fee for the England international.

Liverpool are reportedly looking at the 24-year-old as a long-term successor to Virgil van Dijk.

“You see how aggressive he is ‘locking down’ and stealing possession,” Michael Beale, who coached Guehi while he developed at Chelsea’s academy, told Sky Sports. “But he’s very calm when he’s defending.

“His reading of the game and his athleticism gets him a yard on his centre-forward. He shows a huge amount of confidence to play on the left side and his technical upbringing from Chelsea means he can use his left foot, albeit he is dominant on his right foot.”

Guehi is not the only Palace player Arsenal have their sights on, as the Gunners reportedly want Eberechi Eze to help solve their dilemma on the left wing.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has completed a permanent move from Aston Villa to Vasco da Gama.

The attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at the Brazilian club, having not played for Villa since August 2023 after joining from Barcelona the year prior.

TEENAGE STAR TALKS AT ‘DELICATE STAGE’

Arsenal are yet to reach an agreement with Ethan Nwaneri for a new deal and talks are at a “delicate stage”, according to The Athletic.

The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract last year and that deal is set to expire next summer.

Nwaneri reportedly wants to stay at the north London club and views his development as the main priority.

The forward made 37 appearances for the first team last campaign, scoring nine goals and adding two assists across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Michael Keane has signed a one-year extension with Everton, setting the midfielder for a ninth season with the Toffees.

Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth reported that Callum Hudson-Odoi’s representatives have been holding talks with Nottingham Forest officials over a new contract.

Promoted side Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Noah Sadiki from Royal Union Saint-Gilloise for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old midfielder is their third signing so far after Enzo Le Fee and Habib Diarra.
