Jadon Sancho’s outrageous demands leave Man United ‘hugely worried’ as Roma open talks

Roma have opened talks over deals for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, sources have confirmed to TBR Football.

Jadon Sancho is part of Manchester United’s ‘bomb squad’ and has already seen moves to Chelsea and Napoli fall through over the size of the deal they were willing to do.

Sancho is understood to be on close to £300,000 at Old Trafford and is sitting tight until he gets the right deal.

He has 12 months left on his current deal, and so United are looking for a permanent Sancho deal; they are not contemplating extending him, which is the norm for loans.

TBR Football understands through chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that United want his wages covered in full, and they would accept a loan with a fee – but that looks difficult.

“Roma have made loan approaches for Sancho, and talks are proceeding,” Bailey begins.

He continues: “I am told Sancho won’t play for United again, but he has warned the Red Devils that he won’t be losing money on the deal.

“United believe they have more than played their part in trying to finalise a deal, but Sancho does not agree.

“Roma have come in now, but Borussia Dortmund and Juventus remain keen. It will be down to the player. United is open to Roma talks, but they also know the decision is down to Sancho – if he does not agree to the terms, then nothing will happen.

Sancho needs to leave Old Trafford if Manchester United are to try and step up interest in other potential players.

TBR Football knows United want a goalkeeper and a defensive midfielder. Carlos Baleba is United’s ideal option, but it will cost ‘Moises Caicedo’ like money to lure him from Brighton this summer.

As for a keeper, of course, Ruben Amorim isn’t fully content with Andre Onana – so that’s an option they could explore later down the line.

It’s going to be an interesting month at Old Trafford, with Sancho playing his part in proceedings.
