Novak Djokovic clinches 100th ATP Tour title in Geneva

Novak Djokovic has made more history by becoming the third man to reach 100 career ATP Tour titles.

Two days after turning 38, the Serbian tennis superstar defeated Hubert Hurkacz 5-7, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (2) in the Geneva Open final on Saturday (24 May 2025) to bring up three figures.

Only Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103) have more ATP Tour triumphs in the Open era which started in 1968.

On the women's WTA Tour, Martina Navratilova (167), Chris Evert (157) and Steffi Graf (107) all reached a century of titles.

This was Djokovic's first tournament since ending his coaching arrangement with former rival and two-time Olympic champion Andy Murray. He brought a 12-7 season record to Geneva, and had slipped to number six in the world rankings.

In Switzerland, he defeated Marton Fucsovics and Matteo Arnaldi in straight sets before overcoming Cam Norrie in three sets to reach the final.

Big-serving Pole Hurkacz looked rock-solid under pressure for most of the first two sets, but Djokovic eventually came good in the second-set tiebreak. And despite being broken at the start of the third set, he came back to win another tiebreak and record his first title since winning gold at Paris 2024.
