The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played across seven venues in England and Wales, with London’s Lord’s Cricket Ground set to host the final on July 5, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Thursday.The expanded 12-team T20 cricket tournament will feature 33 matches across 24 days, beginning June 12, and will follow a group stage and knockout format.A total of 10 teams took part in the ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup held in the UAE last year. New Zealand emerged as champions after defeating South Africa in the final.Lord’s was also the venue for the final of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup between England and India in 2017.The other six venues alongside the Lord’s for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 are the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Headingley Cricket Ground, Edgbaston Stadium, Hampshire Bowl, The Oval and the Bristol County Ground.Eight countries are already sure of their place, with the final four participants to be decided through a Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier next year.England and Wales were awarded hosting rights for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in 2022, with the seven host venues selected subsequently following evaluation of various criteria.
