Inter Milan & French Striker Proud To Be Wearing Nerazzurri Shirt: “A Great Club”

Inter Milan rising star Ange-Yoan Bonny admits he takes pride in donning the Nerazzurri shirt.

Speaking on Inter’s Matchday Programme via FCInterNews, the 22-year-old opened up on his summer transfer to San Siro.

Inter paid Parma approximately €20 million to sign Ange-Yoan Bonny at the start of the summer.

Despite lacking experience in Serie A, having played just one season in the top flight, Bonny has been outstanding this term.

Indeed, the French striker has been in scintillating form, netting three goals and adding three assists in eight league games.

Furthermore, he scored a crucial winner in Inter’s 1-0 triumph against Roma a fortnight ago.

However, he wasn’t as decisive when the Nerazzurri fell to a controversial 3-1 defeat to Napoli on Saturday.

Therefore, he will likely drop to the bench tonight, with Francesco Pio Esposito expected to start against Fiorentina.

With Marcus Thuram still out injured, there’s no doubt that Bonny will get a chance off the bench.

“There are many characteristics that have helped me. However, I believe what has guided me most of all is the joy I feel when I play football.”

Then, he praised Inter for being an elite club.

“Inter are a great club,” Bonny added. “As a child, you have dreams, and when you grow up, those same dreams become goals.

“I’ve worked hard to achieve them.

“In Italy, they started calling me Angelo, but in France, they always called me Yoan.

“From that came the nickname my mother gave me when I was little: yo-yo.
