Opening Saturday at Wimbledon is always a special occasion, with the All England Club inviting a lineup of sporting legends to the Royal Box. Among the distinguished guests watching Jannik Sinner secure his third-round win on Centre Court was Andy Roddick.

The former No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings Roddick reached the final at Wimbledon on three occasions, falling each time to record eight-time champion Roger Federer (2004, 2005, 2009).

Roddick lifted his only major trophy at the US Open in 2003 and is the last American man to win a Slam. Americans Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Brandon Nakashima are still alive at this year’s Championships and will all be aiming to change that record.

Other sporting stars in the Royal Box included Billie Jean King and former England cricket captain Andrew Strauss. Novak Djokovic will close Centre Court play on Day 6 against Miomir Kecmanovic.
