Paul Pogba has sent a three-word transfer hint on social media as the former Manchester United star eyes a return to the professional game.

The French midfielder, who returned to United in August 2016 for a record-breaking fee of £89million at the time, is now eligible to return to professional football following the conclusion of his ban. Pogba departed Juventus in November, despite having his four-year ban reduced on appeal, after testing positive for the banned substance DHEA.

The 2018 World Cup winner has reportedly been offered a two-year contract at Monaco. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations and discussions are set to continue in an attempt to reach a consensus. Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are also reportedly interested.

And Pogba has now provided an update on Instagram as he seeks a new club.

"It think it's time," he said, alongside several pictures of him working hard in training while wearing a Real Madrid shirt. Pogba's post has gained likes from United captain Bruno Fernandes and ex-United defender Victor Lindelof.

The midfielder was asked, last year, if he missed United during his period away from football. He admitted that he had not thought about the club in that way due to more pressing matters in his life.

"Truly, I had so many problems," he told Sky Sports. "I did not have time to think of Manchester United. I needed to get rid of all my problems and play.

"I watch Manchester United - and I still have teammates there. They are still one of the biggest clubs in the world, but wasn't thinking about more stuff."
