India’s Manika Batra bowed out of the World Table Tennis Championships Finals 2025 after losing to Ga-Hyeon Park of the Republic of Korea in her women’s round of 64 match in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.World No. 46 Manika Batra had defeated Nigeria’s Fatimo Bello in her opening round match but lost 4-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-5, 11-8) against Ga-Hyeon Park, 144th in the women’s singles table tennis rankings, in just over 35 minutes.Meanwhile, Diya Chitale also lost her women’s singles round of 64 match and exited the World Table Tennis Championships Finals. Up against three-time Olympian Cheng I-Ching of Chinese Taipei, the Indian table tennis player found herself on the back foot from the start of the contest.Diya Chitale lost the first three games before threatening to make a comeback by winning the fourth. However, Cheng I-Ching won the fifth game to close out the match 4-1 (11-3, 11-7, 11-6, 6-11, 11-5).
