In a staggering display of dominance, Canada Under-19 defeated Argentina Under-19 in Match 4 of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup Americas Qualifier 2025. Held at the Param Veer Sports Complex in Georgia, Canada bowled Argentina out for a mere 23 runs in 19.4 overs. The Argentine side crumbled, with seven batters registering ducks and only 16 runs scored off the bat—the rest coming as extras. Canadian pacer Jagmandeep Paul starred with sensational figures of 6 wickets for just 7 runs in 5 overs, including 3 maidens.

Chasing a target of 24, Canada wasted no time and completed the match in just five balls, claiming a 10-wicket victory with 295 balls to spare. Opener Dharm Patel took a single off the first ball, and captain Yuvraj Samra finished the game with two fours and two sixes off the next four deliveries, all bowled by Franz Bur, who also conceded three wides.

Although the match lacked official Youth ODI status, had it been recognized, it could have challenged multiple records—such as the lowest team total and fastest chase in Youth ODIs, currently held by Australia against Scotland in 2004.

This match was part of a double round-robin tournament being held in Atlanta, USA, from August 7 to 17, featuring Argentina, Bermuda, Canada, and the USA. The top team will qualify for the 2026 ICC Men’s U19 World Cup, scheduled across Zimbabwe and Namibia, which will feature 16 teams in a group stage, Super Six, semi-finals, and final.
