Thomas Frank gives Manchester United verdict after Brentford win - 'They struggle in many ways'Man United rallied late on against Brentford but they were unable to complete the comeback as they lost 4-3 in the Premier League.Ruben Amorim and Thomas FrankThomas Frank admitted Manchester United "struggle in many ways" after watching his Brentford team triumph 4-3 on Sunday.United took and early lead at the Gtech Community Stadium through Mason Mount but were soon pegged back. Kevin Schade and a Luke Shaw own goal put the home side ahead before half time and a second Schade strike looked to have ended the game as a contest before Yoane Wissa made it 4-1.United rallied and goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Amad offered late hope but they were unable to rescue a point. In the build-up to Schade's first goal of the game, Matthijs de Ligt picked up an injury but Brentford refused to put the ball out of play. Frank admitted he had sympathy for United but added that they "struggle in many ways".“Yeah, I definitely have sympathy about De Ligt and, you know, it’s clear that they struggle in many ways,” he said.“When you are in football, the struggles are part of football but you just know it is not nice. Of course, it’s a tricky situation so I hope De Ligt is OK.”Article continues belowWhen asked to give his take on Brentford's performance against United, Frank added: "Overall, a very good performance."I think we were completely in control of the game from more or less minute one, even with the minor setback with the first goal where I think we conceded a goal a little but unlike us for the last 10 or 12 games."We pressed aggressively, won the wall back a lot of times, half transitions, bigger transitions, but also when we were up there we produced a lot of crosses."---Here at the Manchester Evening News, we're dedicated to bringing you the best Manchester United coverage and analysis.Make sure you don't miss out on the latest United news by joining our free WhatsApp group.
