Greater Accra continued their impressive run in the MTN Elite U19 Championship with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Central Region on Saturday morning at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, maintaining their perfect start to the competition.

The capital side took control of the match early on, with Emmanuel Lomotey opening the scoring in the 23rd minute following a well-worked attacking move. Their dominance was further underlined when Yussif Saani, who was later named Player of the Match, produced a moment of brilliance in the 43rd minute, unleashing a stunning strike from outside the box to double Greater Accra’s advantage.

Central Region fought back strongly after the break and were rewarded in the 70th minute when substitute Yaw Yeboah Dasman converted from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit. Despite sustained pressure from the visitors, Greater Accra held firm to secure all three points and preserve their unbeaten record.

With the result, Greater Accra sit top of Group B with a maximum six points from two matches, having scored six goals and conceded just once, a statement of intent in their pursuit of the title.
