It was suggested that the Reds appreciate the 24-year-old, who has been the topic of speculation over his future in Madrid. Rodrygo failed to break into Xabi Alonso's first-team plans, with Arda Guler preferred during their Club World Cup campaign.

Arsenal have also been credited with interest for the attacker but Liverpool are also claimed to be suitors.

However, the Reds have already looked to land the Brazilian in the past but saw their efforts fail, despite an intervention from Jurgen Klopp.
