Thankfully Portuguese team-mate Dario Essugo was on hand to translate the message between the soon-to-be colleagues.Palmer went up to his future team mate after Chelsea’s win over Palmeiras and revealed: “I just said we look forward to seeing you - but he didn't understand that word I said!“He's a top player. Obviously, he's only young as well. We know they're a good team, so it's difficult to play against them. But if we match them, I think we can show our quality, and that's what we did.“We've played two already now, two very good teams, so it's going to be another tough game. Obviously it's good to be the last English team and hopefully we can win it.“I think we're getting used to being here. The climate is obviously a big thing, and the pitches.
