Manchester United transfer target Viktor Gyokeres is keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to his future amid links with a move away from Sporting CP in the summer transfer window.

United are one of the clubs to be heavily linked with a potential move for the striker when the transfer window opens in just a matter of weeks. Ruben Amorim will be keen to add to his striking options in the off-season with uncertainty over the futures of both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, who have both failed to make a big impact at Old Trafford.

Gyokeres worked under Amorim during the manager’s time at Sporting. He was on the scoresheet again on Saturday as Sporting secured the La Liga Portugal title with a 2-0 win over Vitoria.

The striker could potentially have just one game in Sporting colours remaining with the club in a cup final against Benfica on May 25.

Following the game against Vitoria, the striker was asked about his future, but was not giving much away.

"It's football, I'm still here. I don't know what's going to happen. Nobody can predict the future," he told Sport TV after the game when asked if it would be his last game at Sporting's Jose Alvalade Stadium.

It’s not only United who have been linked with an interest in Gyokeres. The latest reports suggest that Arsenal have already offered the striker a £7 million-a-year salary after tax and are expected to make a formal bid to Sporting for the player with personal terms already 'agreed'.

It is said that Arsenal’s bid will be around €70-75 million (£58-£63m) once that current season concludes.

For United, concentration may be on a deal for Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap. The England U21 international has impressed in the Premier League this season despite their relegation to the Championship.
