Manchester United are being linked with two potential new signings as the summer transfer window continues.

United have already brought Matheus Cunha to Old Trafford as their first signing of the summer, with the Brazilian arriving as part of a £62.5million move from Wolves. Since then, rumours have been swirling about the business that United will look to complete next as they prepare for the 2025/26 season.

Ruben Amorim and Co. will be continuing to look at the transfer market for potential new signings. United have until September 1 to complete their transfer business, but will also be mindful that their Premier League campaign gets underway on August 17 against Arsenal.

United and Spurs have been battling for Mbeumo's signature, with the North London club hoping that the arrival of former Brentford manager Thomas Frank could swing the odds in their favour.

However, the report states that a deal to take Mbeumo to Old Trafford is "all-but done" with just a medical left to be done to complete the transfer.

The Manchester Evening News understands that United are close to signing Mbeumo after recently submitting a second bid worth around £63million for the Cameroon international.

Victor Gyokeres boost

Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly chosen his preferred destination for this summer, which will also hand United a boost.

The Mirror have reported that Gyokeres has signalled his intent to sign for United, having previously preferred to join Arsenal in recent weeks.
