Greetings and welcome to the Manchester Evening News' LIVE coverage of the Carabao Cup second round draw.

Manchester United will be in the hat for the draw for the second round of the cup competition, as Ruben Amorim and Co. begin their quest for major silverware this season.

United reached the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup last season, eventually losing to semi-finalists Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

The second round of the Carabao Cup sees Premier League clubs not competing in Europe this season enter the draw, which will include the Reds this season.

United's 15th place finish in the Premier League last season and failure to win the Europa League means there will be no European football at Old Trafford this season.

The draw is scheduled to take place this evening during Sky Sports' coverage of the first-round tie between Birmingham City and Sheffield United.

Here, the Manchester Evening News covers LIVE updates from the second round draw of the Carabao Cup.
