World number one Jannik Sinner faces top-10 debutant Ben Shelton in an enthralling Wimbledon 2025 quarter-final tie on Wednesday, 9 July.The final-eight clash at the grass-court tennis Grand Slam sees Italian top seed Sinner aim for a second semi-final at SW19, having last reached that stage two years ago.Sinner advanced to the quarter-finals in subdued circumstances, when his opponent Grigor Dimitrov retired with a pectoral muscle injury while leading two sets to love.The three-time major champion had an injury concern of his own and is set to undergo an MRI scan on his shoulder ahead of his next match.Meanwhile, this is Shelton’s first rodeo in the Championships’ final eight.
