Richmond has informed midfielder Thomson Dow that he will not be offered a contract for the 2026 AFL season.Dow departs after 45 games with Richmond across six seasons.The former selection No. 21 overall in the 2019 AFL Draft made his debut in the 2020 premiership season.He played 17 games last year and the opening 11 matches of 2025 before a knee injury ended his year prematurely.Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent, Blair Hartley, thanked Dow for his six seasons at the Club.“Thomson was very unlucky to miss the second half of the season through injury,” he said.“Unfortunately, this time of year, we need to make hard decisions, and we were unable to offer Thomson a list spot for 2026.“We thank Thomson for his hard work during his six years with us. His attitude was always first class, and we wish him well for his future.”
