MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed a nightmare start to the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Ruben Amorim will begin his first full campaign as Red Devils boss under pressure after a dreadful end to last season.

Man Utd crashed to a worst-ever Premier League finish in 15th and missed out on European football totally after losing to Spurs in the Europa League final.

Now, with a transfer window and pre-season under his belt, Amorim has promised better this season, telling fans: "The good days are coming."

But it certainly won't be easy, after United were handed a horror run of fixtures to kick off the season.

The Red Devils will face last year's runners-up Arsenal at home on the opening weekend, in Sky Sports' 4.30pm Super Sunday clash on August 17.

The real litmus test of United's credentials will come in two winnable games after that, a trip down to London to take on Fulham before facing newly-promoted Burnley at Old Trafford.

That's followed by a horror double bill of Manchester City away, Chelsea at home, before a trip to Brentford to see out September.

October sees Man Utd take on bitter rivals and defending champions Liverpool at Anfield with the reverse fixture pencilled in for May 2, 2026.

The festive period starts out quite kindly on paper, with West Ham, Wolves and Bournemouth all coming before they take on Aston Villa and Newcastle before and after Christmas.

Man Utd fans will need to wait until the new year for their first clash against newly-promoted rivals Leeds, with the reverse fixture then taking place in April.

The second Manchester derby commences on January 17 and is immediately followed by Arsenal away a week later.

After the second clash with the Gunners, Man Utd have three more games against sides from London, with Fulham, Tottenham and West Ham all on the agenda going into February.

Spring is greeted with a trip to Newcastle on March 4 followed by Aston Villa at home, while April sees them face Leeds and Brentford at Old Trafford with Chelsea away in the middle.

The final three games of the season will see Man Utd face Sunderland away, Nottingham Forest at home and end the season with a trip down the seaside with Brighton away.
