It is fair to say that Brandon Nakashima has had a busy week.Of the opening four days of Wimbledon 2025, the USA tennis player has played on three days and spent exactly six hours on court – just 11 minutes shy of his playing time at the two previous Grand Slams this year combined. It is however no problem for the reserved 23-year-old, who has reached the third round at SW19 for the third time. Keeping his cool amid changing conditions, he finds himself in a solid position and one of just 13 seeds remaining of the 32 entries.“I think it could be more of an advantage for sure,” Nakashima tells Olympics.com of spending a lot of time on the grass. “When you're on the match courts, you get a little more confident, you get your timing and into a rhythm really, whether it's before matches or during.“At the same time, these Grand Slam tournaments are pretty long, and you try to rest and recover as best as possible, especially in the off days. Although it's been a lot of hours on the court, I've gotten a lot of confidence from it - I have gotten used to the playing conditions as well.”
