It was all smiles at The Queen’s Club on Saturday evening, as Carlos Alcaraz stepped back onto the grass ahead of his third appearance at the HSBC Championships.

Fresh off a short holiday in Ibiza, where he celebrated his epic five-set win against World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the Roland Garros final, the 22-year-old arrived in London ready to switch gears for the grass-court season.

Bathed in golden west London sunlight, Alcaraz graced The Queen’s Club lawns for the first time this year. The No. 2 in the PIF ATP Rankings nailed tubes of balls during a serving drill and shared laughs with his team with a spot of tennis golf to finish the session.

Alcaraz holds a 6-1 record at the ATP 500 event, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, having lifted the trophy on debut in 2023. Last year he lost to British lefty Jack Draper, who is the second seed this week.

Two-time Wimbledon champion Alcaraz is set to speak to the media on Sunday before opening his campaign against countryman Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
