2025 US Open: How to watch the final Grand Slam of the tennis season, what's new at the venue

The top tennis talent has arrived in the Big Apple from around the globe for the final Grand Slam of the season.

As the 2025 U.S. Open gets underway, here's what spectators need to know about this year's tournament, which added even more tennis for fans with the event's reimagined mixed doubles tournament.

US Open Tennis 2025 full tournament schedule

Fan week begins Monday Aug. 18, with qualifying matches, the mixed doubles tournament, and women's and men's singles practice rounds taking place across all 22 courts at the famed USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows in Queens, New York.

Week 2, which begins Sun. Aug 24, will see the start of the singles matches through the third round, as well as men's and women's doubles through Saturday, Aug. 30.

Week 3 ushers in the Round of 16 on Sunday, Aug. 31, as well as more doubles action and the first round of the boys' and girls' junior singles play.

Singles quarterfinals matches begin Sept. 2, leading up to the women's semifinals on Sept. 4 and the men's semifinals on Sept. 5.

The women's final will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6, followed by the men's final Sunday afternoon, Sept. 7.

US Open Fan Week

As fans descend on the legendary grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, guests can enjoy access to sponsor booths for fun and games, as well as catch podcast recordings, DJ sets, player Q &A sessions, special appearances and more through Saturday Aug. 23.

US Open Mixed Doubles 2025

The full 16-team field and draw for the star-studded U.S. Open Mixed Doubles Championship was announced Sunday, with blockbuster pairings like Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper, Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz, and Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe.

The new-look event, presented by Vital Proteins, takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, with the pairings in contention for $1 million in prize money.

Typically, mixed doubles has run concurrently with the main draw, and the championship is played amid the final weekend of the tournament. This year, the action will move from the outer courts to be held exclusively at the largest stadium courts, Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong.

How to watch the 2025 US Open

The full tournament broadcast will air on various channels across ABC and ESPN. Play will also be streamed on the ESPN app.

How much is the 2025 US Open purse?

The 2025 U.S. Open men's and women's singles winners will earn $5 million.

Finalists will earn $2.5 million, semifinalists will earn $1.26 million, and quarterfinalists will earn $660,000.

The doubles winners will take home $1 million, while finalists will earn $500,000. Doubles semifinalists will earn $250,000 and quarterfinalists will earn $125,000.

Who won the 2024 US Open?

Jannik Sinner, who recently won his first Wimbledon Championship, is the defending U.S. Open men's singles champion after defeating American favorite Taylor Fritz in 2024.
