‘A strong and selfless leader’: Voss to coach Carlton in 2026

Michael Voss has survived Carlton’s hellish season and will coach the Blues next year after being backed by incoming chief Graham Wright to keep his job.

The Blues had said in June they would not be making a call on Voss’s future until the end of the season but moved on Thursday to guarantee their coach’s position for 2026.

“The Carlton Football Club can today confirm with absolute clarity that its AFL senior coach Michael Voss will remain coach of the Blues into the 2026 AFL season,” the club said in a statement.

The decision eases the immediate pressure on Voss, but the coach’s position will remain a major talking point heading into the final year of his contract next season.
