Man United fan Luke Littler reacts to Milos Kerkez to Liverpool update

Manchester United fan and darts world champion Luke Littler has reacted to the news that Milos Kerkez is closing in on his move to Liverpool.

The Bournemouth left-back had been linked with a move to the Reds throughout last season, thanks to his strong performances for the Cherries.

But after admiring the Hungary international for a long time, Liverpool have agreed a £40million fee for Kerkez.

The 21-year-old notched two goals and five assists in the Premier League last season, and will now hope to help the top-flight champions in their quest to retain the title next term.

Kerkez’s imminent Anfield arrival will likely see him replace Andy Robertson as Arne Slot’s first-choice left-back.

Meanwhile, journalist Fabrizio Romano reported via Instagram on Tuesday, 24 June: “Breaking: Milos Kerkez can now be considered as new Liverpool player, deal signed.

The update attracted a like from Littler despite his affiliations with Liverpool’s bitter rivals Man United.

After signing Kerkez for a relatively sizeable transfer fee, Slot seems intent on making the Bournemouth man a member of his starting 11.

The Hungarian’s arrival leaves the Premier League champions with three left-backs at their disposal, thanks to the presence of both Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

Meanwhile, former Man United and Blackburn Rovers chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Liverpool will accept offers for Robertson amid interest from Atletico Madrid.

The Scotland international has been an exceptional servant for the Reds, playing a crucial role in winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups since joining from Hull City back in 2017.

But now that Slot is set to sign Kerkez, the 31-year-old could deem that now is the perfect time to seek a new challenge in the latter stages of his career.
