Alexandra Eala is making her SW19 debut on the biggest stage at Wimbledon 2025 (30 June-13 July). The Filipina tennis star, who made her Grand Slam main draw debut last month at Roland-Garros, now prepares for her first appearance at the Championships, where she faces reigning champion Barbora Krejcikova in the first round.“It's such a privilege, that is the court to be on,” Eala said of the chance to play the defending champion on Centre Court. “My favourite Slam is Wimbledon, and when I dreamed of the big dreams when I was younger, it was on that court. I’m living the dream.”The world No.56 will take to the grass with a special accessory: a sampaguita hair clip, inspired by the national flower of the Philippines. She is already the nation’s highest-ranked tennis player in history and continues to inspire millions back home.Eala also comes off the back of a heartbreaking defeat in the Eastbourne final, where she was beaten by Maya Joint in a final-set tiebreak. That is now in the past for the 20-year-old, who had compartmentalised the emotions of her maiden WTA final.
