He has been part of the first team since 2022, and is now coming off his most prosperous campaign on a personal level. The French Algerian made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals in the process, and delivering seven assists for his teammates. As is often the case with young Ligue 1 stars, Akliouche’s impressive performances caught the eye of several top clubs around Europe, including Man Utd.United undergoing attacking overhaulThe Red Devils are in the midst of a major attacking revamp, as they’re working on replacing the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho with new players, capable of interpreting Ruben Amorim’s football philosophy.United have already snapped up the services of Matheus Cunha, but additional stars are expected to join, including Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, as the negotiations between the player and the club are now at an advanced stage. Moreover, circulating reports have linked MUFC with a move for Akliouche who has attracted their attention with his ‘insane’ displays, incredible speed and deft dribbling skills. But according to sources close to Stretty News, INEOS remain hesitant on this track, as they aren’t prepared to meet Monaco’s hefty demands.Maghnes Akliouche could be too expensive for Man UnitedThe Ligue 1 side initially requested a transfer fee in the region of €60-65 million. Although they’re open to lowering the fee, it will likely remain too pricey for the Reds who are operating on a limited budget due to the lack of European football next season. In addition to Man Utd, Akliouche is being tracked by a host of European giants, namely Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Tottenham, and PSG.It should be noted that the Monaco star is a left-footed player who mainly operates as an inverted right winger, so United should have enough cover if they manage to sign Mbeumo and add him to Amad Diallo.
